[280.010]. eśvaryaṃ dhignāryamuddhatanadītoyapraveśopamaṃ martyendrasya mamāpi yatpratibhayaṃ dāridryamabhyāgatam//3//
[280.012]. athavā ko bhagavato vākyamanyathā kariṣyati? saṃpattayo hi sarvā vipattinidhanā iti pratijñātam yadavitathavādinā gautamena, na hi tadvisaṃvadati//

[281.001]. [281] ekacchatrasamucchrayāṃ vasumatīmājñāpayan yaḥ purā lokaṃ tāpayati sma madhyadivasaprāpto divā bhāskaraḥ/
[281.003]. bhāgyacchidramavekṣya so'dya nṛpatiḥ svaiḥ karmābhirvañcitaḥ saṃprāpte divasakṣaye raviriva bhraṣṭaprabhāvaḥ sthitaḥ//8//

[282.001]. tato'mātyairabhihitam--kimarthamiti? rādhagupta uvāca--eṣa rājño'śokasya manorathe babhūva--koṭiśataṃ bhagavacchāsena dānaṃ dāsyāmīti/
[282.002]. tena ṣaṇṇavitikoṭyo dattā yāvadrājñyā pratiṣiddhā/
[282.003]. tadabhiprāyeṇa rājñā mahāpṛthivī saṃghe dattā/
[282.003]. yāvadamātyaiścatasraḥ koṭyo bhagavacchāsane dattvā pṛthivīṃ niṣkrīya saṃpadī rājye pratiṣṭhāpitaḥ/
[282.004]. saṃpaderbṛhaspatiḥ putraḥ, bṛhaspatervṛṣasenaḥ, vṛṣasenasya puṣyadharmā, puṣyadharmaṇaḥ puṣyamitraḥ/
[282.005]. so'mātyānāmantrayate--ka uapāyaḥ syādyadasmākaṃ nāma ciraṃ tiṣṭhet? nairabhihitam--devasya ca vaṃśādaśoko nāṃnā rājā babhūveti/
[282.006]. tena caturaśītidharmarājikāsahasraṃ pratiṣṭhāpitam/
[282.007]. yāvadbhagavacchāsanaṃ prāpyate, tāvattasya yaśaḥ sthāsyati/
[282.008]. devo'pi caturaśītidharmarājikāsahasraṃ pratiṣṭhāpayatu/
[282.008]. rājā āha--maheśākhyo rājā aśoko babhūva/
[282.009]. anyaḥ kaścidupāya iti? tasya brāhmaṇapurohitaḥ pṛthagjano'śrāddhaḥ/
[282.010]. tenābhihitam--deva, dvābhyāṃ kāraṇābhyāṃ nāma ciraṃ sthāsyati/
[282.010]. yāvadrājā puṣyamitraścaturaṅgabalakāyaṃ saṃnāhayitvā bhagavacchāsanaṃ vināśayiṣyāmīti kukkuṭārāmaṃ nirgataḥ/

[282.012]. yāvatsa rājā bhītaḥ pāṭaliputraṃ praviṣṭaḥ/
