tatra kṣetrasvarūpamāha mahābhūtānīti dvābhyām | mahābhūtāni bhūmyādīni pañca | ahaṅkārastatkāraṇabhūtaḥ | buddhirvijñānātmakaṃ mahattattvam | avyaktaṃ mūlaprakṛtiḥ | indriyāṇi daśa bāhyāni jñānakarmendriyāṇi | ekaṃ ca manaḥ | indriyagoccarāśca pañca tanmātrarūpā eva śabdādaya ākāśādiviśeṣaguṇatayā vyaktāḥ santa indriyaviṣayāḥ pañca tadevaṃ caturviṃśatitattvāni uktāni ||5||

tatkṣetraṃ yacca ityādyārdhakena vaktuṃ pratijñātaṃ kṣetrasvarūpamāha mahābhūtānīti dvābhyām | mahābhūtāni pañca khādīnyahaṅkārastaddhetustāmaso bhūtādisaṃjño buddhistaddheutrjñānapradhāno mahānavyaktaṃ taddhetuḥ | triguṇāvasthaṃ pradhānamindriyāṇi śrotrādīni pañca vāgādīni ca pañceti bhūtādikhādyantarālikāḥ sūkṣmāḥ śabdāditanmātrāḥ khādiviśeṣaguṇatayā vyaktāḥ santaḥ sthūlāḥ śrotrādipañcakagrāhyā viṣayā ityarthaḥ | evaṃ caturviṃśatitattvātmakaṃ kṣetraṃ jñeyam | icchādayaścatvāraḥ
