amānitvamadambhitvamahiṃsā kṣāntirārjavam |
ācāryopāsanaṃ śaucaṃ sthairyamātmavinigrahaḥ ||7||
indriyārtheṣu vairāgyamanahaṃkāra eva ca |
janmamṛtyujarāvyādhiduḥkhadoṣānudarśanam ||8||
asaktiranabhiṣvaṅgaḥ putradāragṛhādiṣu |
nityaṃ ca samacittatvamiṣṭāniṣṭopapattiṣu ||9||
mayi cānanyayogena bhaktiravyabhicāriṇī |

idānīmuktalakṣaṇātkṣetrātatiriktatayā jñeyaṃ śuddhaṃ kṣetrajñaṃ vistareṇa varṇayiṣyan śuddhajñānasādhanānyāha amānitvamiti pañcabhiḥ | amānitvaṃ svaguṇaślāghārāhityam | adambhitvaṃ dambharāhityam | ahiṃsā parapīḍāvarjanam | kṣāntiḥ sahiṣṇutvam | ārjavamavakratā | ācāryopāsanaṃ sadgurusevā | śaucaṃ bāhma ābhyantaraṃ ca | tatra bāhyaṃ mṛjjalādinā, ābhyantaraṃ ca rāgādimalakṣālanam | tathā ca śrutiḥ

śaucaṃ ca dvividhaṃ proktaṃ
bāhyamabhyantaraṃ tathā |
mṛjjalābhyāṃ smṛtaṃ bāhyaṃ

evaṃ kṣetraṃ pratipādya tatsākṣiṇaṃ kṣetrajñaṃ kṣetrādvivekena vistarātpratipādayituṃ tajjñānayogyatvāyāmānitvādisādhanānyāha jñeyaṃ yattadityataḥ prāktanaiḥ pañcabhiḥ amānitvamiti | vidyamānairavidyamānairvā guṇairātmanaḥ ślāghanaṃ mānitvaṃ, lābhapūjākhyātyarthaṃ svadharmaprakaṭīkaraṇaṃ dāmbhitvaṃ, kāyavāṅmanobhiḥ prāṇināṃ pīḍanaṃ hiṃsā, teṣāṃ varjanamamānitvamadambhitvamahiṃsetyuktam | parāparādhe cittavikārahetau prāpte'pi nirvikāracittatayā tadaparādhasahanaṃ

kiṃ ca | saktirmamedamityetāvanmātreṇa prītiḥ | abhiṣvaṅgastvahamevāyamityananyatvabhāvanayā prītyatiśayo'nyasmin sukhini duḥkhini vāhameva sukhī duḥkhī ceti | tadrāhityamasaktiranabhiṣvaṅga iti coktam | kutra saktyabhiṣvaṅgau varjanīyāvata āha putradāragṛhādiṣu putreṣu dāreṣu gṛheṣu | ādigrahaṇādanyeṣvapi bhṛtyādiṣu sarveṣu snehaviṣayeṣvityarthaḥ | nityaṃ ca sarvadā ca samacittatvaṃ harṣaviṣādaśūnyamanastvamiṣṭāniṣṭopapattiṣu | upapattiḥ prāptiḥ | iṣṭopapattiṣu harṣābhāvo

kiṃ ca | mayi ca bhagavati vāsudeve parameśvare bhaktiḥ sarvotkṛṣṭatvajñānapūrvikā prītiḥ | ananyayogena nānyo bhagavato vāsudevātparo'styataḥ sa eva no gatirityevaṃ niścayenāpyavyabhicāriṇī kenāpi pratikūlena hetunā nivārayitumaśakyā | sāpi jñānahetuḥ prītirna yāvanmayi vāsudeva na mucyate dehayogena tāvat[BhP 5.5.6] ityukteḥ |

viviktaḥ svabhāvataḥ saṃskārato śuddho'śucibhiḥ sarpavyāghrādibhiśca rahitaḥ suradhunīpulinādiśritaprasādakaro deśastatsevanaśīlatvaṃ viviktadeśasevitvam | tathā ca śrutiḥ

same śucau śarkarāvahnibālukā
vivarjite śabdajalāśrayādibhiḥ |
mano'nukūle na tu cakṣupīḍane
guhānivātāśrayaṇe prayojayet || [ŚvetU 2.10] iti |

janānāmātmajñānavimukhānāṃ viṣayabhogalampaṭatopadeśakānāṃ saṃsadi samavāye tattvajñānapratikūlāyāmaratiraramaṇaṃ sādhūnāṃ tu saṃsadi tattvajñānānukūlāyāṃ ratirucitaiva | tathā coktam

saṅgaḥ sarvātmanā heyaḥ sa cetyuktaṃ na śakyate |
sa sadbhiḥ saha kartavyaḥ sataḥ saṅgo hi bheṣajam || iti ||10||

kiṃ ca | adhyātmajñānamātmānamadhikṛtya pravṛttamātmānātmavivekajñānamadhyātmajñānaṃ tasminnityatvaṃ tatraiva niṣṭhāvattvam | vivekaniṣṭho hi vākyārthajñānasamartho bhavati | tattvajñānasyāhaṃ brahmāsmīti sākṣātkārasya vedāntavākyakaraṇakasyāmānityatvādisarvasādhanaparipākaphalasyārthaḥ prayojanamavidyātatkāryātmakanikhiladuḥkhanivṛttirūpaḥ paramānandātmāvāptirūpaśca mokṣastasya darśanamālocanam | tattvajñānaphalālocane hi tatsādhane pravṛttiḥ syāt | etadamānitvāditattvajñānārthadarśanāntaṃ viṃśatisaṅkhyākaṃ jñānamiti proktaṃ jñānārthatvāt | ato'nyathāsmādviparītaṃ mānitvādi yattadajñānamiti proktaṃ

uktalakṣaṇātkṣetrādviviktatayā jñeyau jīvātmaparamātmānau kṣetrajñau vistareṇa varṇayiṣyan tajjñānasya sādhanānyamānitvādīni viṃśatimāha pañcabhiḥ | atrāṣṭadaśa bhaktānāṃ jñānināṃ ca sādhāraṇāni kintu bhaktaiḥ mayi cānanyayogena bhaktiravyabhicāriṇī ityekameva bhagavadanubhavasādhanatvena yatnataḥ kriyate | anyāni spatadaśoktābhyāsavatāṃ teṣāṃ svata evotpadyante na tu teṣu yatna iti sāmpradāyikāḥ | antime dve tu jñānināmasādhāraṇa eva |

atrāmānitvādīni vispaṣṭārthāni | śaucaṃ bāhyamabhyantaraṃ ca tathā ca smṛtiḥ

śaucaṃ ca dvividhaṃ proktaṃ
bāhyamabhyantaraṃ tathā |
mṛjjalābhyāṃ smṛtaṃ bāhyaṃ

ātmavinigrahaḥ śarīrasaṃyamaḥ | janmādiṣu duḥkharūpasya doṣasyānudarśanaṃ punaḥ punaḥ paryālocanam | asaktiḥ putrādiṣu prīttyāgo'nabhiṣvaṅgaḥ putrādīnāṃ sukhe duḥkhe cāhameva sukhī duḥkhītyadhyāsābhāva iṣṭāniṣṭayorvyavahārikayorupapattiṣu prāptiṣu nityaṃ sarvadā samacittatvam | mayi śyāmasundarākāre'nanyayogena jñānakarmatapoyogādyamiśraṇena bhaktiścakārādjñānādimiśraṇaprādhānyena ca | ādyā bhaktairanuṣṭheyā dvitīyā jñānibhiriti kecid, anye tvananyā bhaktiryathāpremṇaḥ sādhanaṃ tathā paramātmānubhavasyāpīti
