This Sanskrit edition of the Moksopaya. It is a large philosophical text dealing with “the science of liberation”. Similar to the Yoga-vasistha in content, the Mokshopaya-shastra was likely its predecessor, said to contain 30,000 shlokas (metrical verses). One of the core philosophies of the texts teaches the non-existence of cognitive objects; while holding such a view leads to an attitude of dispassion towards worldly matters.

सप्तद्वीपसमुद्रमुद्रणसमुच्छूनैकदेशाश्रयं भूपीठं परितो विहृत्य पवनो दीर्घाध्वना जर्जरः ।
तां प्राप्याग्रगिरिस्थलीमलिवपुर्व्योमाङ्गलग्नामिव व्यात्तानन्तदिगन्तपूरकबृहद्देहो विशश्राम सः ॥ ६७ ॥
