Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. इत्येवमुक्त्वा पुनराह पार्थो युधिष्ठिरं धर्मभृतां वरिष्ठम् ।
अप्यपुत्रा तेन राधा भवित्री कुन्ती मया वा तदृतं विद्धि राजन् ।
प्रसीद राजन्क्षम यन्मयोक्तं काले भवान्वेत्स्यति तन्नमस्ते ॥ ९८ ॥
