The Sanskrit text of the Brihat-samhita from the 6th-century authored by Varaha Mihira in present-day Ujjain, India. It primarily deals with astrology and astronomy but is presented as an encyclopedia of knowledge.

गोपैर्यष्ट्याहतानां खुरपुटदलिता या तु धूलिर्दिनान्ते सोद्वाहे सुन्दरीणां विपुलधनसुतारोग्यसौभाग्यकर्त्री ।
तस्मिन् काले न चर्क्षं न च तिथिकरणं नैव लग्नं न योगः ख्यातः पुंसां सुखार्थं शमयति दुरितान्युत्थितं गोरजस्तु ॥ १३ ॥
