विनाप्य् अर्थैर् धीरः स्पृशति बहुमानोन्नति-पदं समायुक्तो ऽप्य् अर्थैः परिभव-पदं याति कृपणः ।
स्वभावाद् उद्भूतां गुण-समुदयावाप्ति-विषयां द्युतिं सैंहीं श्वा किं धृत-कनक-मालो ऽपि लभते ॥ १६९ ॥

vināpy arthair dhīraḥ spṛśati bahumānonnati-padaṃ samāyukto 'py arthaiḥ paribhava-padaṃ yāti kṛpaṇaḥ |
