tasmādbhūtasaṅghātasambhavāt kāraṇāddravyaṃ naikarasaṃapi tvanekarasam| evaṃ dravyavadrasasyāpi bhūtasaṅghātasambhavatvam| ata eva pratidravyaṃ madhurādirasasya nānāsvādopalambhaḥ| tathā ca, drākṣā'kṣoḍakṣīrekṣukṣaudragokṣurā dravye satyapi mādhurye'paro'para āsvāda upalabhyate| evamamlānāmapi mātuluṅgadhānyāmlādīnāṃ dravyāṇāṃ nānāsvādopalambhaḥ| evaṃ lavaṇādīnāmapi vedyam| api caiṣāṃ drākṣādīnāmanekarasatvamāsvādaviśeṣādanumīyamānaṃ bhūyasā rasenānyarasābhibhavaṃ kṛtvā vyapadiśyate idaṃ madhuramidamamlādyanyatamam, mahābhūtavat| yathā,-sarvaṃ dravyaṃ pañcamahābhūtātmakaṃ bhūyasā mahābhūtenānyamahābhūtābhibhavaṃ kṛtvā yathā tena vyapadiśyate pārthivamidamāpyamidamiti| nanu, dravyanirṇaye prakṛte pāñcabhautikaṃ yadeva dravyaṃ pratijñātaṃ tadeva "tasmāt" ityādinā nigamagranthenātivāhayituṃ yuktam, na punaraprastutamanekarasatvam| tasmādatraivaṃ granthaḥ kartuṃ nyāyyaḥ-"tasmānnaikabhūtajaṃ dravyaṃ bhūtasaṅghātasambhavāt|" iti| atrocyate| ṣaṇṇāmapi rasānāṃ yonirudakam| tataścaikasyaiva mahābhūtasyodakasaṃjñasya rasakāraṇatvaṃ prāptaṃ nānyeṣām, nīrasatvāt| iti kṛtvā na bhūtasaṅghātasambhavatvaṃ rasasya| ityevaṃvidhāmāśaṅkāmapaninīṣurbhūtasaṅghātasambhavatvaṃ rasasya caikenaiva prayatnena "tasmānnaikarasaṃ dravyaṃ bhūtasaṅghātasambhavāt|"iti jagāda| muniścāta eva rasasya bhūtasaṅghātasambhavatvaṃ spaṣṭaṃ kṛtvovāca| yathā (ca. sū. a. 1|63)- "rasanārtho rasastasya dravyamāpaḥ kṣitistathā| nivṛttau ca viśeṣe ca pratyayāḥ khādayastrayaḥ||"iti| evaṃ bhūtasaṅghāto rasānāṃ dravyāśritānāmapi sambhavakāraṇam| etacca rasabhedīye savistaraṃ kathayiṣyāmaḥ|

sarveṣāṃ dravyāṇāṃ sarvadharmatvamāha-tasmāditi| tasmātsarvabhūtārabdhatvāt sarvamapi dravyaṃ naikarasaṃanekarasam, sarvadharmamityarthaḥ| rasaśabdo'tra dharmamātropalakṣaṇaḥ| sarvabhūtārabdhatve'pyekarasatve ko doṣaḥ? ityāśaṅkyāha-bhūta saṅghātasambhavāditi| rasānāmapi bhūtasamudāyādutpatteḥ| vakṣyati hi (hṛ.sū.a. 10/1)-"dvayolbaṇaiḥ kramādbhūtairmadhurādirasodbhavaḥ|" iti| sati ca kāraṇe kāryeṇāvaśyaṃ bhāvyam|

tulyanyāyatvaprasaṅgāt sarveṣāṃ rogāṇāṃ sarvadoṣajatvamāhanaikadoṣā iti| rogā naikadoṣāḥ-sarve'pi rogāḥ sarvadoṣodbhavāḥ| kutaḥ? tata eva hetoḥ,-rogāṇāmapi bhūtasaṅghātasambhavāt| bhutasaṅghātasya tu triṣu doṣeṣu vibhaktatvāt| yathoktaṃ saṅgrahe (sū.a. 20)-"vāyvākāśadhātubhyāṃ vāyuḥ āgneyaṃ pittam, ambhaḥpṛthivībhyāṃ śleṣmā|" iti| bhūtasaṅghātaṃ vinā na doṣasaṅghātaḥ, taṃ vinā na rogotvapattiriti, ataḥ sarve rogāstridoṣajāḥ| kecittu sarvadravyāṇāṃ sarvarasatvena sarvadoṣasāmānyāt sarvadoṣakopanatvam, tato rogā naikadoṣā iti vyācakṣate| tadasat| sāmānyavadvaiparītyasyāpi sattvāt| sāmānyaṃ prayojakamiti cet na, doṣaghnadravyabhedābhāvaprasaṅgāt| vaiparītyamapi kvacit prayojakamiti cet na, sarvadoṣakopanatvaniyamavyāghātāt| sarvadoṣakopanānāṃ niyama iti cet na, vdyekadoṣakopanadravyābhāvaprasaṅgāt| bāhulyenaiva vyapadeśa iti cet na, dvidoṣakopanaikaśamanadviśamanaikakopanadravyābhāvaprasaṅgāt| siddhānte'pi sarveṣāṃ sarvadharmatvasvīkārānna doṣaghnādivibhāga iti cet na, tasya tasya dharmasya tatra tatra prayojakatvāt| tathā ca vakṣyati (ślo.22)-"kiñcidrasena kurute karma pākena cāparam| guṇāntareṇa vīryeṇa prabhāveṇaiva kiñcana||" ityādi| tasmātpūrvameva vyākhyānaṃ yuktam| sarveṣāṃ sarvadharmatvādiviśeṣe prāpte tannirāsārthaṃ dharmatāratamyamāha-tatra vyakta iti| tatra-dravye, kaściddharmaḥ sadyovyaktaḥ kaścidavyaktaḥ kaścidīṣavdyaktaḥ kaścidante vyaktaḥ| teṣvādyo rasākhyaḥ, itare trayo'nurasākhyāḥ|
