The Sanskrit text of the Syainika-Sastra attributed to king Rudradeva (or Candradeva) from the 13th century. This book deals with Hunting and Hawking and is written as a traditional type of Sanskrit educational treatise (Shastra). It contains 368 Sanskrit verses and contains many overlapping topics, such as the treatment and diet of birds.

Verse 7.29

धनुर्वेदाभ्यासः समविधिरनूनश्च लघुता गतेर्गात्रोत्साहः तुरगविहृतौ चातिपटुता ।
तथा नीतेर्योगे रसपरिचयश्चाप्यनुपमो मृगव्यायां क्षात्रो गुणसमुदयोऽभ्यस्यत इव ॥ २९ ॥

dhanurvedābhyāsaḥ samavidhiranūnaśca laghutā gatergātrotsāhaḥ turagavihṛtau cātipaṭutā |
tathā nīteryoge rasaparicayaścāpyanupamo mṛgavyāyāṃ kṣātro guṇasamudayo'bhyasyata iva || 29 ||
