The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एवं तामसतामस्या जात्यासि जनितो यदा ।
तदा दुर्लभमोक्षस्त्वं संसारकुहरादिति ॥ २६ ॥

evaṃ tāmasatāmasyā jātyāsi janito yadā |
tadā durlabhamokṣastvaṃ saṃsārakuharāditi || 26 ||

Being thus born with the vile species of thy soul, it is difficult for thee to obtain thy liberation from the prison house of this world.
