Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. उत्सवं कारयिष्यन्ति सदा शक्रस्य ये नराः ।
भूमिदानादिभिर्दानैर्यथा पूता भवन्ति वै ।
वरदानमहायज्ञैस्तथा शक्रोत्सवेन ते ॥ २६ ॥

utsavaṃ kārayiṣyanti sadā śakrasya ye narāḥ |
bhūmidānādibhirdānairyathā pūtā bhavanti vai |
varadānamahāyajñaistathā śakrotsavena te || 26 ||
