The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.177.43

किं शास्त्रकं तत्रकथाविचारैर्निर्वासनं जीवितमेव मोक्षः ।
सर्गे त्वसत्येवमकारणत्वात्सत्येव नास्त्येव न नाम काचित् ॥ ४३ ॥

kiṃ śāstrakaṃ tatrakathāvicārairnirvāsanaṃ jīvitameva mokṣaḥ |
sarge tvasatyevamakāraṇatvātsatyeva nāstyeva na nāma kācit || 43 ||

Of what use then are sastras, and of what good is the reasoning upon their verbiage, when our inappetency is the best way to felicity; and there being no creation without its cause, we have nothing to do with what appears but seemingly so.
