The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्वप्नसंकल्पपुरयोर्नास्त्यप्यनुभवस्थयोः ।
मनागपि यथा रूपं सर्गादौ जगतस्तथा ॥ २२ ॥

svapnasaṃkalpapurayornāstyapyanubhavasthayoḥ |
manāgapi yathā rūpaṃ sargādau jagatastathā || 22 ||

Neither sleep nor the airy visions of dreaming, nor also anything that we either know or have any notion of, can have any relation to the nature of the Inscrutable One; any more than the impossibility of our having any idea of the world before its creation.
