The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

द्रष्टास्याः स्वप्नदृष्टेस्तु जीवः संभवतीह हि ।
चिदचेत्या तु सर्गादौ भात्यच्छा गगनादपि ॥ २३ ॥
draṣṭāsyāḥ svapnadṛṣṭestu jīvaḥ saṃbhavatīha hi |
cidacetyā tu sargādau bhātyacchā gaganādapi || 23 ||
It is the living soul which sees the dream, and imagines the creation in itself; or else the pure intellect is quite unintelligible in its nature, and remains as clear as either in the beginning of creation.
