The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यद्यथा बुध्यते बोधे यथोदेत्यथवा स्वतः ।
तथाशु स्फुटतामेति सद्वासद्वा तदेव तत् ॥ ३९ ॥

yadyathā budhyate bodhe yathodetyathavā svataḥ |
tathāśu sphuṭatāmeti sadvāsadvā tadeva tat || 39 ||

Whatever a thing appears to be by itself, or whatsoever is thought of it in the understanding of another, the same comes to occur and is presented to the lot of every one, be it good or evil.
