The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

असतोऽपि जनादुच्चैर्गीताद्भीता पलायते ।
स्वेनैव मनसाप्यज्ञा किलैषा विवशीकृता ॥ ११६ ॥

asato'pi janāduccairgītādbhītā palāyate |
svenaiva manasāpyajñā kilaiṣā vivaśīkṛtā || 116 ||

They who fly with fear from the loud songs (preachings) of false preachers, cannot have the patience to listen to the silent lesson of their inward monitor;and they who are deluded by their own minds, can hardly be reclaimed by any other.
