The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सुखलवविवशा द्विषेव तप्ता हृदयगतेन निजेन चेतसैव ।
विधुरितधिषणा न वेत्ति सत्यं तदपि कथं परिमोहितो मुधैव ॥ ११७ ॥

sukhalavavivaśā dviṣeva taptā hṛdayagatena nijena cetasaiva |
vidhuritadhiṣaṇā na vetti satyaṃ tadapi kathaṃ parimohito mudhaiva || 117 ||

Those who are tempted to taste the gall of worldly pleasures for sweet, are so subdued by its effects on their understandings, that they lose the power of discerning the truth altogether; and it is therefore useless to remonstrate with them.
