The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.17.52

एकैव सर्वभुवनान्तरलब्धलक्ष्या दुर्लक्ष्यतामुपगतैव वपुःस्थितैव ।
तृष्णा स्थिता जगति चञ्चलवीचिमाले क्षीरोदकाम्बुतरले मधुरेव शक्तिः ॥ ५२ ॥

ekaiva sarvabhuvanāntaralabdhalakṣyā durlakṣyatāmupagataiva vapuḥsthitaiva |
tṛṣṇā sthitā jagati cañcalavīcimāle kṣīrodakāmbutarale madhureva śaktiḥ || 52 ||

One single avarice has every thing in the world for its object, and though seated in the breast, it is imperceptible to all. It is as the undulating Milky ocean in this fluctuating world, sweeping all things yet regaling mankind with its odorous waves.
