Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. This portion also contains the Bhagavad-Gita. Alternative titles: Mahābhārata (महाभारत).

Verse 14.23.10

न त्वं सर्वमिदं व्याप्य तिष्ठसीह यथा वयम् ।
न त्वं श्रेष्ठोऽसि नः प्राण अपानो हि वशे तव ।
प्रचचार पुनः प्राणस्तमपानोऽभ्यभाषत ॥ १० ॥

na tvaṃ sarvamidaṃ vyāpya tiṣṭhasīha yathā vayam |
na tvaṃ śreṣṭho'si naḥ prāṇa apāno hi vaśe tava |
pracacāra punaḥ prāṇastamapāno'bhyabhāṣata || 10 ||
