The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 5.79

इति सुहृदमिवानुशिष्य कृत्ये तुरगवरं नृवरो वनं यियासुः ।
सितमसितगतिद्युतिर्वपुष्मान् रविरिव शारदमभ्रमारुरोह ॥ ७९ ॥

iti suhṛdamivānuśiṣya kṛtye turagavaraṃ nṛvaro vanaṃ yiyāsuḥ |
sitamasitagatidyutirvapuṣmān raviriva śāradamabhramāruroha || 79 ||

Thus having exhorted the best of steeds like a friend to his duty, he, the best of men, longing to go to the forest, wearing a noble form, in brightness like fire, mounted the white horse as the sun an autumnal cloud.
