The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 4.15

यद्यपि स्यादयं वीरः श्रीप्रभावान्महानिति ।
स्त्रीणामपि महत्तेज इति कार्यो ऽत्र निश्चयः ॥ १५ ॥

yadyapi syādayaṃ vīraḥ śrīprabhāvānmahāniti |
strīṇāmapi mahatteja iti kāryo 'tra niścayaḥ || 15 ||

'What though this hero be great by his exalted glory, yet "great is the might of women," let this be your firm resolve.
