The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अस्माच्छास्त्रवराद्वोधा जायन्ते ये विचारितात् ।
लवणैर्व्यञ्जनानीव भान्ति शास्त्रान्तराणि तैः ॥ ५४ ॥

asmācchāstravarādvodhā jāyante ye vicāritāt |
lavaṇairvyañjanānīva bhānti śāstrāntarāṇi taiḥ || 54 ||

The knowledge that you may derive, by weighing well the instructions given in this great work; will serve you as salt, in order to season and relish the teachings of other sastras, that are at best but sundry dishes before it.
