The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यद्यथा कल्प्यते धत्ते तत्तथा नियतिर्वपुः ।
कल्पितायाश्चितेर्यस्मादेवमेतन्निजं वपुः ॥ ३७ ॥

yadyathā kalpyate dhatte tattathā niyatirvapuḥ |
kalpitāyāściteryasmādevametannijaṃ vapuḥ || 37 ||

Whatever it imagines in any form or shape, the same receives the very form as a decree of fate; and because these forms are the very images or ideas of the Divine Mind, they are deemed to form the very body of the Deity.
