The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यद्यद्भानात्मकं रूपं प्रथमं चेतितं चिता ।
स्वतोऽहमेव चित्येव तदद्यापि तथा स्थितम् ॥ ३८ ॥

yadyadbhānātmakaṃ rūpaṃ prathamaṃ cetitaṃ citā |
svato'hameva cityeva tadadyāpi tathā sthitam || 38 ||

In whatever likeness anything was designed at first by the Divine Intellect; it bears the same form and figure of it to this day.
