The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.121.17

अग्निर्जगामाथ समाजगाम निशा विलम्ब्याथ जगाम सापि ।
समाजगामापि रविर्जगाम तेषां च धीरार्णवलङ्घनेहा ॥ १७ ॥

agnirjagāmātha samājagāma niśā vilambyātha jagāma sāpi |
samājagāmāpi ravirjagāma teṣāṃ ca dhīrārṇavalaṅghanehā || 17 ||

As the fiery god disappeared, there appeared the dark night after him; and as the night also fled after a while, the sunshine returned with the reviving wishes of the king and his men, to survey the wide ocean lying before them.
