The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.116.23

कालः क्रिया च भुवनं भवनं चिराय नामाधितिष्ठत इवोपवनं विकासि ।
आशङ्क्यते प्रतिदिनं ननु नष्टमेव नाद्यापि नश्यति च केयमहो नु माया ॥ २३ ॥

kālaḥ kriyā ca bhuvanaṃ bhavanaṃ cirāya nāmādhitiṣṭhata ivopavanaṃ vikāsi |
āśaṅkyate pratidinaṃ nanu naṣṭameva nādyāpi naśyati ca keyamaho nu māyā || 23 ||

Time and action are the occupants of this mansion from age to age, and all its ample space presents the aspect of a smiling garden; it is feared every day to be blown and blasted away, and yet it is a wonder how this frail flower should last so long and for ever more.
