The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.93.73

आपदः संपदः सर्वाः सुखं दुःखाय केवलम् ।
जीवितं मरणायैव बत मायाविजृम्भितम् ॥ ७३ ॥

āpadaḥ saṃpadaḥ sarvāḥ sukhaṃ duḥkhāya kevalam |
jīvitaṃ maraṇāyaiva bata māyāvijṛmbhitam || 73 ||

All prosperity and adversity, tend only to our temporary joy and misery; and our life is but a prologue or prelude to our extinction or quietus (nirvana). All these are the display of our unavoidable delusion.
