The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.93.7

श्लिष्टपक्ष्मेक्षणं क्षीणसर्वेक्षं स्वच्छतां गतम् ।
सरो निमीलिताम्भोजमिव सुप्तं दिनात्यये ॥ ७ ॥

śliṣṭapakṣmekṣaṇaṃ kṣīṇasarvekṣaṃ svacchatāṃ gatam |
saro nimīlitāmbhojamiva suptaṃ dinātyaye || 7 ||

His eyelids were closed, and his eyesight was as weak, as to view all the visibles in one light of whiteness, and they seemed to be as sleepy, as the closing petals of the lotus of the close of the day.
