The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एतेषां भगवन्भेदो बोधाय मम कथ्यताम् ।
जीवानां सप्तरूपाणां जलानामर्णवेष्विव ॥ ४ ॥

eteṣāṃ bhagavanbhedo bodhāya mama kathyatām |
jīvānāṃ saptarūpāṇāṃ jalānāmarṇaveṣviva || 4 ||

Rama said:—Tell me sir, the difference of the seven species of living beings for my satisfaction;which appear to me to be as different as the waters of the seven seas.
