The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
कस्मिंश्चित्प्राक्तने कल्पे कस्मिंश्चिज्जगति क्वचित् ।
केचित्सुप्ताः स्थिता देहैर्जीवा जीवितधर्मिणः ॥ ५ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
kasmiṃścitprāktane kalpe kasmiṃścijjagati kvacit |
kecitsuptāḥ sthitā dehairjīvā jīvitadharmiṇaḥ || 5 ||

Vasishtha replied:—There have been some men in some former age and parts of the world, who are known to have been long sleepers with their living bodies.
