The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.76.16

ततः प्रभृत्यमलतरङ्गभङ्गिनी जगत्पतेः शशिविभृदङ्गसङ्गिनी ।
नभस्तलान्निपतति गां त्रिमार्गगा महात्मनामिव बहुपुण्यसंततिः ॥ १६ ॥

tataḥ prabhṛtyamalataraṅgabhaṅginī jagatpateḥ śaśivibhṛdaṅgasaṅginī |
nabhastalānnipatati gāṃ trimārgagā mahātmanāmiva bahupuṇyasaṃtatiḥ || 16 ||

It was then that the crystal wave of the Ganges, gushed out of the basin of Brahma the lord of the world and rushed into the moony crest of Hara; and falling on earth below it took a triple course, like the meritorious acts of great men.
