The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्र वर्षसहस्रैश्च समाराध्य पुनःपुनः ।
ब्रह्माणं शंकरं जह्नुं भुवि गङ्गामयोजयत् ॥ १५ ॥
tatra varṣasahasraiśca samārādhya punaḥpunaḥ |
brahmāṇaṃ śaṃkaraṃ jahnuṃ bhuvi gaṅgāmayojayat || 15 ||
He remained there for many years and under many rains, and worshipped the Gods Brahma and Siva and the sage Jahnu by turns, until he succeeded to bring down the holy stream on the earth below.
