The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

येनैव पश्यसि श्रेयस्तमेवाङ्गीकुरु क्षणम् ।
स्वात्मभावस्तव सुखं मन्ये मानवतां वर ॥ २८ ॥

yenaiva paśyasi śreyastamevāṅgīkuru kṣaṇam |
svātmabhāvastava sukhaṃ manye mānavatāṃ vara || 28 ||

Delay not to chose whatever thou thinkest more felicitous for thyself; but better it is to be in possession of thy mind and kill thy cares and desires, than kill thy mind with thy troublesome desires and anxieties.
