The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

लब्धात्मानो विनश्यन्ति संबन्धक्षण एव ते ।
ते तमांसीव दीपस्य दृष्टा एव व्रजन्त्यलम् ॥ ६६ ॥

labdhātmāno vinaśyanti saṃbandhakṣaṇa eva te |
te tamāṃsīva dīpasya dṛṣṭā eva vrajantyalam || 66 ||

Living beings perish in a moment, at the privation of thy presence; as the burning lamp is extinguished to darkness, at the extinction of its light.
