The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.36.65

त्वदालोकनयैवैते स्थितिं यान्ति सुखादय ।
सूर्यालोकनया प्रातर्वर्णाः शुक्लादयो यथा ॥ ६५ ॥

tvadālokanayaivaite sthitiṃ yānti sukhādaya |
sūryālokanayā prātarvarṇāḥ śuklādayo yathā || 65 ||

It is by a glance of thy eye, that the feelings of pain and pleasure rise in the mind; as it is by the beams of the rising sun, that the sky is tinged with its variegated hues.
