The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तमस्ता तमसो दीपासत्तायां स्फुटतां गता ।
दीपसंबन्धसमये सा चोत्पद्य विनश्यति ॥ ६७ ॥

tamastā tamaso dīpāsattāyāṃ sphuṭatāṃ gatā |
dīpasaṃbandhasamaye sā cotpadya vinaśyati || 67 ||

As the gloom of darkness is conspicuous at the want of light;but coming in contact with light, it vanishes from view.[19]
