ādau-prathamaṃ, ṣaḍrasamapi, apiśabdādvitrādirasamapi, annaṃ-abhyavahṛtamaśitapītādikaṃ, tatpacyamānaṃ madhurībhutaṃ-amadhuraṃ madhuraṃ sampannaṃ sat, kaphamīrayet| kimbhūtaṃ kapham? phenībhūtam| pānīyāderapi pacyamānasya prathamaṃ phenotpattidarśanādevamuktam| vidāhāditi| tataḥ-prathamāvasthāto mādhuryaprāyāyā anantaraṃ, madhyamāvasthāṃ prāpya jāṭhareṇa vahninā pakvaṃ ṣaḍrasamapyannamabhyavahṛtamamlatāṃ yātaṃ-anamlamamlaṃ sampannaṃ, pittaṃ vidadhyāt| kasmātpunaramlatāṃ yāti? ityāha-vidāhāt| 10 viruddho viṣamo dāho-vidāhaḥ| tato vidāhāddhetoramlatāṃ yātam| kimbhūtamannam? āmāśayāccyavamānaṃ,nāmāśayasthitameva| cyutaṃpunaḥ-tata āmaśayātpakvāśayaṃ prāptaṃ, jāṭharāgninā pakvaṃ śoṣitamannaṃ, tathā piṇḍitaṃ-tadānīm piṇḍaṃ sañjātaṃ saṃhataṃ sampannaṃ, tathā kaṭukaṃ jātaṃ, anyāṃ(ntyāṃ) tṛtīyāmavasthāṃ prāpya mārutaṃ kuryāditi yojyam| etacca sarvaṃ svabhavasiddhaṃ svasaṃvedyaprāyaṃ kāryānumeyaṃ ca| ata eva rasaṣaṭke'pi yaddravyāṇāṃ vipākatraividhyaṃ madhurāmlakaṭukalakṣaṇamuktaṃ, tadanayā rītyopapannataraṃ bhavati| tathā hi-ṣaḍrasasyāpyannasya jāṭharāgninā pacyamānasya rasatrayopalakṣitena madhurāmlakaṭukasvabhāvenāvasthātrayeṇa pariṇāmo bhavati| atha (nanu,) annamityatra kasmāt "ado jagdhirlyaptikiti" iti jagdhyādeśo na bhavati?| brūmaḥ| anna iti nipātanāt "bahulaṃ chandasi" iti bahulavacanādvā jagdhyādeśābhāvaḥ| nanu, vidāhādamlatāṃ gatamiti sāmānyenoktama yuktamivābhāti| yato drākṣekṣuśarkarādīnāmavidāhitvaṃ śrūyate| api ca vidāhādīni ca varjayediti tantrakāraḥ (hṛ.sū.a. 8/32) paṭhati| anayā ca rītyā avadāhidravyābhāva eva syāt| tasmātsāmānyena vidāhitvamabhyupagamyamānamanyāyyamiva manyāmahe| ucyate| vidāhasya dvaividhyādadoṣaḥ| iha hi dvividho vidāhaḥ prathito doṣasthānakṛto dravyakṛtaśca| tatra hi doṣasthānakṛtasya grahaṇam| [nanu,] āmāśayācyutamagninā pakvamiti kathamuktam? yataḥ pakvāśayasthasyāgninā pāko'nupapannaḥ| dūravyavadhāno hyagnirāmāśayasthaḥ| tasmātpakvāśayasthasyānnasya pakvatvamanupapannam| atrocyate| pakvāśaye'pyasti pākaḥ, tantrakāravacanāt| tathā hi prāgbastividhāvabhyadhāt (hṛ.sū.a.19/34)-"yathā snehapaktiḥ syādato'tyulbaṇamārutān| vyāyāmanityān dīptāgnīn" ityādi| tadevaṃ pakvāśayasthasyāpyanuvāsanasya snehapāko'bhihitaḥ| tathā pakvāśaye'pyagninā pakvasya punaḥ pāko yukta eva| tantrāntareṣu māṃsādīnāmapi vikledadarśanādanyatrāpi pāko'nujñāta eva|
