The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 11.6

सुहृत्तया चार्यतया च राजन् विभाव्य मामेव विनिश्चयस्ते ।
अत्रानुनेष्यामि सुहृत्तयैव ब्रूयामहं नोत्तरमन्यदत्र ॥ ६ ॥

suhṛttayā cāryatayā ca rājan vibhāvya māmeva viniścayaste |
atrānuneṣyāmi suhṛttayaiva brūyāmahaṃ nottaramanyadatra || 6 ||

'This thy determination concerning me, O king, is prompted by pure generosity and friendship; I will meet thee courteously with simple friendship; I would not utter aught else in my reply.
