This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 65.82

सो हयसहस्रयुक्तं वाहनम् अभिरुह्य चित्रचापधरो ।
वाचाम् उग्राम् उदीरये हनथ हनथ गृह्णथ नं शीघ्रं ॥ ८२ ॥

so hayasahasrayuktaṃ vāhanam abhiruhya citracāpadharo |
vācām ugrām udīraye hanatha hanatha gṛhṇatha naṃ śīghraṃ || 82 ||

Mounting his chariot drawn by thousands of horses, and carrying a dazzling bow, he uttered a fearful cry, “Slay him, slay him, quickly seize him.” (82)
