The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.189.2

तत्तथा स्थितिमायाति चिरं संवित्स्वभावतः ।
बत विश्वमिदं भातमत्रासत्ये कुतः स्मयः ॥ २ ॥

tattathā sthitimāyāti ciraṃ saṃvitsvabhāvataḥ |
bata viśvamidaṃ bhātamatrāsatye kutaḥ smayaḥ || 2 ||

It continues to remain in the same state, as it is ever conscious of in itself; and sees of its own nature, this universe exposed before it as it had in his mind, nor is there and wonder in this.
