The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्र सप्रतिघस्यास्य कठिनस्याकरो महान् ।
भूपीठं जनताधारो राजव्राजेव राजते ॥ १८ ॥

tatra sapratighasyāsya kaṭhinasyākaro mahān |
bhūpīṭhaṃ janatādhāro rājavrājeva rājate || 18 ||

This place contains the vast receptacle, for the reception of all tangible and solid bodies; and this spacious earth with all the population on its surface, is seated in the midst of it.
