The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.184.28

अविद्यमानमेवेदं दृश्यतेऽथानुभूयते ।
जगत्स्वप्न इवाशेषं सरुद्रोपेन्द्रपद्मजम् ॥ २८ ॥

avidyamānamevedaṃ dṛśyate'thānubhūyate |
jagatsvapna ivāśeṣaṃ sarudropendrapadmajam || 28 ||

Thus the world which is so visible and perceptible to us, is nothing but a mere nullity in reality; and whatever appears as existing herein, together with the great gods and angels, are no more than the false visions in our dream and fancy.
