The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.184.29

विचित्राः खलु दृश्यन्ते चिज्जले स्पन्दरीतयः ।
हर्षामर्षविषादोत्थजङ्गमस्थावरात्मनि ॥ २९ ॥

vicitrāḥ khalu dṛśyante cijjale spandarītayaḥ |
harṣāmarṣaviṣādotthajaṅgamasthāvarātmani || 29 ||

We see the various fluctuations and phenomena, rising in the waters of the vast ocean of the intellect; and appearing in the forms of our joy and grief, and those of moving and unmoving bodies in creation.
