The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

व्योम्न्येव कचति व्योम चिन्मये चिन्मयं हि यत् ।
बुद्धं तदेव तेनैव जगद्वोधात्क्व तज्जगत् ॥ ५२ ॥

vyomnyeva kacati vyoma cinmaye cinmayaṃ hi yat |
buddhaṃ tadeva tenaiva jagadvodhātkva tajjagat || 52 ||

It appears as a phantom in vacuum, and as an intelligence in the Intellect; it is intelligible as it is, and that is in the sense of a nihility.
