The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वामावामशिरःपादविपर्ययविधौ यथा ।
पुंसो न विद्यते शक्तिस्तथा भाव्यन्यथास्थितौ ॥ ५४ ॥

vāmāvāmaśiraḥpādaviparyayavidhau yathā |
puṃso na vidyate śaktistathā bhāvyanyathāsthitau || 54 ||

As there is no human power to the left on the right, or fix the feet on the head; so there is no possibility to alter the decree of fate.
