The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मरणं जीवितं वास्तु सहजे वासने तयोः ।
इति विश्रान्तचित्तोयः सोऽन्तःशीतल उच्यते ॥ १४ ॥

maraṇaṃ jīvitaṃ vāstu sahaje vāsane tayoḥ |
iti viśrāntacittoyaḥ so'ntaḥśītala ucyate || 14 ||

Those who look on and hail their life and death, with equal indifference; are men that have an unbroken tranquillity of their minds, and are known as the cold-hearted.
