The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.55.13

कुकर्मभ्यस्तु चेद्भीतिः सा समेह परत्र च ।
तस्मादेते समसुखे सर्वेषां मृतिजन्मनी ॥ १३ ॥

kukarmabhyastu cedbhītiḥ sā sameha paratra ca |
tasmādete samasukhe sarveṣāṃ mṛtijanmanī || 13 ||

If there is any fear for or pain in sin, it is equally so both in this life as well as in the next; therefore the life and death of the righteous are equally as blissful.
