The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शेषमेकं परित्यज्य त एवेमे स्थिता वयम् ।
राज्येन सांप्रतेनेमं कालं नीत्वा क्रमेण वै ॥ ६० ॥

śeṣamekaṃ parityajya ta eveme sthitā vayam |
rājyena sāṃpratenemaṃ kālaṃ nītvā krameṇa vai || 60 ||

And as we are by birth the prince and princess of a realm, it is paramount on us to rule our state, and pass our days in the discharge of the duties of our royalty until our end.
