The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कुम्भ उवाच ।
परे पदे महानन्दे कच्चिद्विश्रान्तवानसि ।
इदं भेदमयं दुःखं कच्चित्संत्यक्तवानसि ॥ ५४ ॥

kumbha uvāca |
pare pade mahānande kaccidviśrāntavānasi |
idaṃ bhedamayaṃ duḥkhaṃ kaccitsaṃtyaktavānasi || 54 ||

Kumbha interrogated said:—Have you ever had your repose in the state of supreme felicity, and were you ever freed from the infelicity, which is ever attendant on the knowledge of duality.
