The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आक्रान्ते द्विषता राज्ये मुनिः सद्मनि मण्डले ।
अधोवासोवशेषोऽसौ निर्जगाम स्वमण्डलात् ॥ ६ ॥

ākrānte dviṣatā rājye muniḥ sadmani maṇḍale |
adhovāsovaśeṣo'sau nirjagāma svamaṇḍalāt || 6 ||

As the enemy overran his territories and kingdom, and seized his royal palace and properties; he girt himself in his undergarb, and went away beyond the limits of his kingdom.
